The Child Advocacy Center is a specialized facility that provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary support to children and adolescents up to the age of 18 and their non-offending caregivers, regardless of their background, under one roof.

It's a place where our specialists - psychologists and psychologists, educators and educators, therapists and therapists, psychiatrists and psychiatrists, lawyers and lawyers - provide psychological and psychiatric support every day, undertake crisis intervention, provide consultations, conduct individual and group therapeutic meetings.

CAC activities are primarily directed to children and adolescents experiencing difficulties, various forms of violence, sexual abuse, remaining in legal procedures, and their families. We also provide legal support to parents, guardians and caregivers of our charges. This is especially important when legal procedures are triggered in connection with harm to the child and when it is necessary to face the difficulties of legal processes. The assistance offered at CAC is available in Polish and Ukrainian and is free of charge.

The CAC team works in cooperation with local services - courts, prosecutors, municipal social welfare centers, health care and educational institutions, or the police. The facility also has a friendly interrogation room, created in accordance with current standards.

Scope of assistance:

• psychological and pedagogical consultations, psychiatric consultations, legal advice, conducting individual therapy for children and adolescents with difficult experiences and for their parents and guardians;

• crisis intervention in cases of suspected crimes against children under 18 years of age,

• consultations for professionals (psychologists, educators, health professionals, social workers) who suspect or identify crimes and child abuse;

• support, sociotherapeutic and psycho-educational groups for children, adolescents and parents and guardians;

• preparation and conduct of friendly interrogation,

• The Child Advocacy Center in Lublin is the 6th such facility in Poland. It was opened with the support of the largest organization working on behalf of abused children in the country - the Dajemy Dzieciom Siłę Foundation - and belongs to the network of Child Advocacy Centers in Poland coordinated by it.

• The activities of the CAC in Lublin in 2022 are co-financed with funds from the Lublin Municipality, Save the Children, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway from the EEA Funds under the Active Citizens - Regional Fund Program.
