
Station Sempre
Station Sempre implements its support activities within the framework of the project: “Station Sempre. Psychological support for youth” from December 2021 to September 2023 in partnership with the Lublin Municipality. The activities of Przystanek Sempre are aimed at adolescents and young adults aged 10-29 from the Lublin Province, especially those with experience of domestic and peer violence and crime.
The project's main activities include:
Implementation of a comprehensive program of therapeutic and development groups for young people at OWM Station Sempre.
Over the course of the project, 50 young people aged 10 -19 will be supported. Therapeutic-developmental groups are held in 3 groups by age: 10-12 years (4-6 grade SP), 13-15 years (7-8 grade SP), 15-19 years (high school). Each group meets once a week for 3 clock hours, and is led by 2 therapists experienced in working with young people. The series of meetings takes place during the school year.Individual psychological consultations for young people and their parents/guardians and caregivers.
Individual psychological support primarily benefits young people belonging to therapeutic and development groups and their parents/caregivers. However, as places become available, other young people from the Lublin Province aged 10-29 and their parents/guardians are also invited to participate in the support. All wards of the therapeutic and development groups, on average twice a month, can take part in so-called club activities, where, under the supervision of the Foundation's staff, young people put into practice the skills developed during group activities. Club activities include meetings with invited guests, but also outings to the theater, exhibitions or sports facilities, as well as other activities aimed at showing young people alternative ways to spend their free time, supporting their development.issuance of the publication “Development Groups. A publication in the form of a manual containing a ready-to-implement program of development groups. Development and therapy groups conducted by the Foundation are based on the assumptions of the publication Youth Development Groups, developed by the Sempre a Frente Foundation and the largest organization working with youth in Ireland Foróige in 2015. The program will be updated in terms of: the methods and tools used, the latest expertise in youth work,adaptation of the program for implementation in the online version, expansion with new elements related to such topics as environmental protection or cyber security. In order to increase the impact of the program through its practical application in more organizations/institutions working with youth, a wide range of professionals (including educators, psychologists, youth workers, teachers) will be included in the updating process. As part of the work on the manual, a series of consultation meetings will be held with the community of professionals and organizations and institutions working systemically with youth at risk of exclusion.consultation meetings with the community of professionals working in the field of youth mental health
The consultation meetings aim to build a coalition of professionals around the youth support program by involving a wide range of professionals who will participate in 4 consultation sessions during the process of working on the program update. Each 2-hour meeting will be conducted using active tools in either on-site or remote formats. To the consultation group we will invite specialists from the educational community, NGOs and institutions working to support youth in particular in the psychological and therapeutic dimension.30 informational-educational meetings to promote mental health in schools in Lublin Province.
Informational-educational meetings are 45-minute stationary or remote lessons conducted by mental health specialists in schools in the Lubelskie Voivodeship. During the active classes, young people will increase awareness of their mental health, dispel popular myths about it, but most importantly, they will learn where and how they can get support.
Over two years, 850 young people at risk of exclusion and their families from across the Lublin region will benefit from direct support under the project.
“Project Station Sempre. Psychological support for youth” is financed by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway from the EEA Funds under the Active Citizens - Regional Fund Program. The amount of the grant awarded is EUR 102,042.85.
The activities of the project will ultimately be carried out in the long term within the framework of the Children's Aid Center being created in Lublin, which will further ensure the sustainability of the implemented activities.
