Become a Young Service Designer/Young Service Designer.
Do you want to connect with other young people, exchange opinions, best practices, get information about your community and opportunities in your city, contribute to the City's work on service design for young people, and meet and debate with city policy makers and politicians? We invite you to apply to the Young Service Designers (and Service Designers) Network, or YSD!
The project in brief:
YSD is a project funded by European Youth Together and coordinated by the Comunità Brianza Consortium in Italy, with partners from Finland, Germany, Greece, Poland and Slovakia. In each country, one partner youth organization works with one municipality, which is the local experimentation site for YSD activities. In Poland, it is we Lublin-based Sempre a Frente Foundation.
The YSD project aims to support young people (16-24 years old) through civic education and engagement approaches, developing their competencies and offering them opportunities to truly participate in local decision-making in order to rethink their cities and public spaces.
This will be made possible through a variety of activities, including the implementation of the Capacity Building Program for Youth Activism, targeting 20 young people (Young Service Designers) in each country, focusing on service design, particularly service creation in a post-communist society.
After participating in the Capacity Building Program, the Young Service Designers will activate Youth Public Innovation Laboratories, starting in September 2022, and implement and prototype the “service(s)” designed in the previous phase. The project's cities and youth workers will support the young participants throughout the duration of the project.
