Fundacja - integracja! Nowy projekt wspierający współpracę z cudzoziemcami

So far, several changes have taken place at the Sempre a Frente Foundation thanks to the Fundacja-Integracja project:

  • Stanislav and Natalia have joined our team—our new staff members who help us communicate better with refugees from Ukraine and Belarus. They conduct advisory consultations, lead trainings, cooperate with volunteers, reach out to young people and their guardians, and support integration spaces such as “Spilno Lublin.”

  • Oksana has also joined us—a psychologist who provides direct psychological support to children from Ukraine and supports other experts and specialists with language assistance.

  • A networking meeting of Lublin’s non-governmental organizations was held. At “ŚniadaNGO,” we invited organizations to discuss the needs of Third Country Nationals and how we can include them in our activities. While working on co-creating the “MemeNGO” memory card game (which aims to support networking and introduce the third sector in Lublin), together with representatives of NGOs, we discussed what information should appear on the game cards, who could join the initiative, and how this tool could realistically support activities aimed at Third Country Nationals. The discussion centered on the need to create opportunities for integration, partnership, and a joint response to the needs of these communities.

  • One of our staff members took part in an excellent training course “Crisis Intervention” at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. There, she improved her competencies in crisis intervention, learning, among other things: what distinguishes crisis reactions in children and adults, how to help someone who has lost a loved one, been in an accident, experienced violence, or is struggling with a serious illness. How to be there for someone whose world has just fallen apart, how to recognize the signs of crisis, and how to react quickly and effectively.

  • Individual conversations with an English teacher are ongoing, during which our staff are improving their language skills to better communicate with our young people for whom Polish is not a native language and to offer them even stronger support, especially regarding integration.

  • Soon, we will start Ukrainian language courses for our staff and volunteers.

With great joy, we announce the launch of the project "Foundation - Integration!" The project is funded by the European Funds for Lublin 2021-2027 co-financed by the resources of the European Social Fund Plus.

As part of the project, we plan to significantly strengthen the potential of our team. Thanks to the obtained financial support:

- three individuals from third countries will join the Foundation’s team to support the implementation of activities at the Youth Integration and Development Center (CIRM), the Children’s Assistance Center (CPD), and Spilno.

- we will organize a series of training sessions for our team, including English and Ukrainian language courses, first aid training, and workshops to develop practical skills in the area of combating discrimination;

- the skills of employees in the field of cybersecurity, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention will be strengthened;

- the team will undergo a development process based on the FRIS methodology – neurocollaboration.

In the near future, we plan to organize networking meetings with representatives of other social organizations. The goal of these activities will be to exchange good practices in areas such as social integration, preventing peer violence (bullying), and eliminating discrimination in the school and professional environment.

The implementation of the project will contribute to increased effectiveness of the Foundation's activities and the development of the team's competencies, which will directly impact the quality of the provided support and the level of social integration.

The total project value is: 562,422.50 PLN

The amount of funding from European Funds: 478,059.12 PLN

The contribution from the national budget: 55,311.38 PLN
