"Drzewo i Jutro" Foundation supports Sempre a Frente' beneficiaries again!

The Child Advocacy Centre (Centrum Pomocy Dzieciom) and our specialized psychological and therapeutic support for parents/caregivers of children who have experienced abuse have received continued funding from the Drzewo i Jutro Foundation.

Our long-standing experience shows that effectively helping an abused child is only possible when support is also extended to their immediate environment. Parents and caregivers—often burdened themselves by severe stress, guilt, or helplessness—need a safe space to rebuild their emotional and parental resources.

The first edition of the parental and caregiver support project (2025–2026), carried out thanks to the Drzewo i Jutro Foundation, allowed us to provide professional support to 71 individuals who took part in parenting skills workshops and benefited from individual psychological assistance. In total, we organized 3 groups for parents (47 participants), each receiving 30 hours of group sessions. Parents and caregivers also had access to one-on-one sessions, through which our specialists supported 24 people. This amounted to 518 hours of individual therapeutic work. The grant received at the time was PLN 150,000, and the project ran from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.

The 2026/2027 cycle brings a few adjustments, but the core direction of our work remains unchanged. As part of this continued support, we have planned:

● Individual psychological therapy for parents/legal guardians of CAC Lublin beneficiaries – 448 therapy hours (an average of 20 sessions per person). Support will be provided to 22 adults. This service is dedicated to non-offending caregivers of children who have experienced violence.

● Group support for parents/legal guardians – 90 hours. Activities will be delivered across 3 groups of parents, supporting a minimum of 45 people. The goal of the group sessions is to strengthen parenting skills, foster empathetic communication, teach conflict-resolution strategies, and deepen understanding of children's needs, particularly those who have survived abuse.

Project activities will run from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027, and will be funded by the Drzewo i Jutro Foundation with a grant of PLN 150,000.
