CiRM after a year of cooperation with the European Wergeland Centre
CiRM's activities since 2022 have been carried out within the framework of the bilateral initiative “Youth for the City, City for Youth - projects and initiatives involving and including local communities” funded by the EEA and Norwegian Funds.
The Center in 2022 focused on increasing the knowledge of young people and youth workers in such areas as: civic education, implementation of their own initiatives, volunteering, labor market and career counseling through, among others:
Eurodesk Travel - monthly meetings aimed at integrating different communities and information on development opportunities for young people thanks to EU programs, meetings with guest speakers who shared their experiences from educational trips
meetings of male and female volunteers working around CiRM
Meetings of #YesYouthCan with decision-makers and people who inspire young people
consultations for representatives/s of organizations and institutions, teachers and youth, career counseling and support
trainings for young people in the area of time management, leadership, digital and social competencies useful for young people entering the labor market, as well as workshops in the area of mental health, involvement in social and civic activities, including volunteering
workshops for youth workers
RPG games in English allowing young people to develop their social skills and integrate Lublin's international community
cyclical meetings of United by sport, where youth and European information was combined with sports competitions providing an opportunity to integrate, meet peers from different parts of the world who live in Lublin and take advantage of youth consultation on the spot
Language Day, or Day of Languages - integrative and educational meetings on foreign languages
CiRM also did not forget about people from Ukraine. We used the support of translators and a psychologist with knowledge of the Ukrainian language, and the Center's volunteers conducted animations aimed at refugee children and youth staying at the points (weekly, once a week from March to May 2022).
In addition, one edition of the Local Animator Academy was also held in 2022, as well as one edition of the Youth Activity Festival, which was attended by a hundred people from the Lublin region.
Nearly 2,000 people participated in the activities of the Center for Youth Information and Development last year.
