Development groups. Youth support program
The program is designed to work with adolescents aged 10-19 by specialists and specialists from places such as youth clubs, day care centers or day support centers. Its purpose is to support the social and personal development of young people during adolescence, which is a time of many changes, but also a moment of personality formation and learning to take responsibility for their behavior and decisions. The individual modules address topics such as communication skills, cooperation with other people, coping with stress and emotions, setting life goals, and getting involved in the life of one's local community. Participation in the program allows young people to acquire and practice psychosocial competencies in a safe atmosphere. It is also a source of support in the difficulties experienced.
The program consists of 15 modules. Each module is designed to be completed in 1 to 3 clock hours and includes exercises for working in a workshop method with young people in a group of up to 15 people. The duration of the class is given as an approximation and may vary depending on the size of the group, experience and the working style of the instructor. The full cycle of the group's work is planned for a school year, with the possibility of switching between age groups and repeating the cycle. Such an assumption will make it possible to cover the support of young people throughout the key period of adolescence.
The manual was created as part of the project “Stopover Sempre. Psychological Support for Youth” in partnership with the City of Lublin, financed by grant no. K1d/0421 from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norwegian Funds under the Active Citizens - Regional Fund Program.
